LaundryHouse (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the LaundryHouse mobile app and services for laundry pickup and delivery in Nigeria. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Data	Why we collect it
Name	To identify your account and address you on orders.
Phone number	To create and secure your account (one-time SMS code) and to coordinate pickup/delivery.
Email (optional)	Only if you choose to enable email receipts. Must be unique to your account.
Location	To set your pickup/delivery address and, for riders, to match nearby orders and show distance. Riders share location only while online.
Photos	Optional profile photo, and rider proof-of-service photos attached to an order.
Order & payment details	Items, fees, addresses and order status. Card/transfer details are handled directly by our payment processor — we do not store card numbers.
Device push token	To send order updates as push notifications (you can disable these in your device settings).

2. How we use your information

• To create your account and verify it’s really you.
• To accept, route, fulfil and deliver your laundry orders.
• To process payments and send receipts.
• To send order updates (push, SMS, and optional email).
• To provide customer support and improve the service.
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud.

3. Service providers we share data with

We share only the minimum needed with trusted processors who act on our behalf:

• Flutterwave — payment processing.
• Termii — sending the SMS one-time verification code.
• Resend — sending email receipts (only if you enable email).
• OneSignal — delivering push notifications.
• Cloudinary — hosting images (profile and proof photos).
• Render & Neon — secure cloud hosting and database.
• Apple & Google — only if you choose Sign in with Apple/Google, to verify your identity.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or tracking.

4. Data retention

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

5. Your rights & account deletion

You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and you can delete your account entirely. To delete your account and associated data, email us at support@laundryhouse.ng from your registered email or with your registered phone number, and we will remove your account and personal data (except records we must retain by law).

6. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on secured cloud infrastructure. Access to personal data is limited to authorised staff who need it to operate the service.

7. Children

LaundryHouse is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, in the app.
